Raising money the sporty way!

So what does an ostrich, bumble bee, pink wig wearing Scotsman and some throwbacks from the 1970’s all have in common? They all took part in the Dalehead Foods Sport Relief Mile on Friday 23rd  and Saturday 24th March, along with numerous others from across the four production sites.

Each site mapped out its own route and with Bury tackling the roads around the town it was a good job the runners came prepared – ladies in pink, Hawaiian dress and some donning a stylish hi-viz jacket to complete the look!

Prizes were awarded for quickest time (7 mins 59 secs from Bury) plus first male and female and of course, best fancy dress.  A total of £300 was raised by the Division, all proceeds going direct to Sport Relief.

Thanks to all who took part and those who volunteered and helped prior to and at the event.
