We operate our own abattoir in Spalding, Lincolnshire. A team of approximately 310 people work together from the moment the pigs arrive on site to when the primal joints leave. The team includes vets, meat inspectors, experienced butchers, administrative and management staff. Spalding is one of the most technically advanced abattoirs in the country, the plant is unique in its use of robotics, and highlights our commitment to invest in the future growth of the business. From here the meat is processed at one of our three factories. ESOL and NVQ programmes are available for all workers and Fair Working Conditions accreditation was awarded in June this year.
