Congratulations to Helen Hooks, BQP Fieldsperson on being awarded the PIPR (Pig Industry Professional Register) Top Achiever Award 2011 at the Houses of Parliament in early November.

PIPR is an industry wide scheme which all BQP staff and our farmers are required to be on. To remain on the register, staff and farmers are required to attend events such as training days, to collect points. A total of 60 points are required over a three year period, to remain registered.

In the course of just one year, Helen has collected a total of 196 points, putting her in the top 10% of points collected. Helen also had to complete the following tie breaker question… “I think anybody who is serious about working in the pig industry should be a member of PIPR because…it recognises and rewards training and professional development and raises self esteem and confidence whilst encouraging progression within the industry”

Congratulations to Helen on yet another achievement this year, in addition to her Distinction in the PMDS (Professional Managers Development Scheme) and the Special Achievement Award won at the BQP Awards in November.
