Dalehead and Waitrose bring home the bacon!March 20, 2012
The sixth annual Bacon Connoisseurs’ Week takes place from 19-25 March 2012.
The week has been established to communicate to consumers that ‘Not all Bacon is the same’. The week also aims to highlight to consumers our rich heritage of Bacon curing and how many different varieties of premium bacon are available. This year’s celebrity endorser was none other than the nations favourite Angela Rippon.
We and Waitrose are extremely pleased to have been awarded not one but two ‘Red, White & Bacon’ Awards and the overall Supermarket Champion Award. Our Heston from Waitrose Syrup and Stout Streaky bacon Rashers came out top for the Rasher-nal treasure Award and our Free Range Dry Cure Unsmoked Back Bacon brought home the bacon for both the Classic Dry Cure Award and the Overall Supermarket Champion Award.
