Scholarship Students

This year sees the launch of the Dalehead Foods Scholarship, which offers experience and opportunity to university students, in partnership with Harper Adams University College.

The scholarship demonstrates our commitment to finding new talent for the meat industry and works towards our ASPYRE framework (Aiming to Support and Promote Young people in the Rural Environment). Rosa Malseed and Imogen Radford will join Dalehead in July this year. Rosa will be working in Wales, in Lamb Procurement whilst Imogen will be working in Suffolk in Pig Production. Rosa and Imogen, whilst gaining hands on experience in higher welfare production systems and our integrated supply chain will also benefit from

• Full academic fees in the year, awarded up to a maximum of £3,800

• A 12 month industrial placement

• Mentor support

• Potential to extend funding of academic fees in the final year of study up to a maximum of £3,800 on satisfactory completion of the industrial placement

• Opportunity to apply for a place on the Tulip Graduate Management Training Programme

Joanne Collins (pictured centre with Rosa left and Imogen right) met the students last week at the Scholarship Presentation at Harper Adams and we look forward to welcoming both Rosa and Imogen in a few months time.
