On Saturday 18th June BQP held their annual Summer Fun Day for farmers and their families, complete with the usual fare such as coconut shy, bucking bronco, climbing wall, face painting and the infamous stocks!  A great game of rounders was followed by some highly competitive Tug O War competitions in which the women’s team didn’t do so well, losing rather embarrassingly to the children!  The prize draw, tombola and collection buckets raised an excellent total of £626.20 for the Variety Club which is Tulip’s nominated charity this year.  A big thank you must go to all those who came along and supported the event.  ‘Thank you’s’ must also go to Sarah Rogers, Les and Linda McWade for organising the event, to Robert Bloom for supplying the hog roasts and to all those who helped out on the day to make it such a success.
