All Dalehead production sites awarded Fair Working ConditionsJune 1, 2011
Fair Working Conditions is a quality auditing project which aims to measure and accredit best employment practices. Dalehead took the decision to invite Fair Working Conditions auditors onto all our sites to assess that our employment practices are ethical and consistent with the demands from our customer, Waitrose.
As well as the usual site tour and review of paperwork, the main part of the audits involves groups of permanent and temporary staff being interviewed confidentially by the auditors. Staff are asked what things we are good at, and whether there are things we could do better to improve working at Dalehead. All staff interviewed are then invited to take part in an anonymous vote as to whether they thought we were a fair organisation to work for.
We are extremely pleased to have been awarded the Fair Working Conditions accreditation which demonstrates the importance we place as a company on being a fair and ethical employer. The auditors were very complementary about Dalehead as a company. All 4 of our production sites have been awarded Fair Working Conditions, testament to our commitment to our people.
